I want a full set of 8’s and 7’s only. However I have started my gcse courses and teachings in year 9 and haven’t studied since. I have my mocks in January and I don’t know what to do because they’re English mocks and as well as studying all my subjects I’ll have to study English the most. Is it even possible to get 8’s and 7’s with revision from now onwards and revisit a years worth of work in a month as I want to finish before December. This way I may be back on track, any tips?

Thanks so much however I have a lot to revise based my other subjects in prep for my final gcses. Should I focus on English for now or the rest of my topics too?

It is possible to make a difference to your academic performance and if you don’t reach your goal for your mocks use that frustration and turn it in to ambition to succeed for your actual exams but make sure you don’t neglect your other subjects especially subjects you are considering to study further.

I’m sure you’ve heard this many times before, but: “I want” doesn’t get. Study and see how it turns out. What’s the use asking how it will turn out when it’s in your hands? You can either study and try your best, or do nothing and almost certainly under-achieve.

Try and give all your topics the attention they need. I think there’s a revision timetable template on this website somewhere (when I used it it was called Get Revising but I think it’s now owned by TSR). You can enter when exams are and what other commitments you have, plus the amount of time you want to spend on each topic, and it works things out for you! Good luck
