What I mean by "white-collar pencil pushers" are people that work in the following jobs such as HCS, IT department, accounting, bureaucrats, bank tellers and network admins etc etc

As someone that has worked minimum wage jobs I have noticed that the rudest, angriest, demanding customers are usually employed in the following workplaces.

Why is that? I thought someone working in easy air-conditioned high paying jobs would be happy or something....

Middle managers are s*** upon by senior management.
Team leaders are s*** upon by middle managers.
Front line staff are s*** upon by team leaders.

Front line staff take the brunt of angry customer complaints as a direct result of corporate policies made by senior executives who always want more-for-less.

Front line staff take it both ends.

Some people have this inherent "I am better than you" attitude towards people below their rank. It is disgusting but happens.

You would see some people earning slightly above minimum wage act like they are gods in their cheap suits and dead-end jobs. It is human nature, i guess.

I am sure some people on minimum wage or below minimum wage may look down on others below them such as homeless or druggies or others. It is a revolving door.
