I’ve been advised by the Manchester uni to take an Access to Engineering course as I don’t have the grades (I’m 24 & been out of education for a while).
After this I can then apply for their foundation year to then hopefully enrol onto the MPhys Physics with Astrophysics degree the following year.

So far I’ve found courses at Manchester and Salford colleges which sound good and are in my area but how do I choose which is the best?

The Manchester college Access to Engineering spoke about electronics work also but the Salford college course had a lot more in depth information.

    Thanks ✌🏻

Refer it back to the uni as to whether they have any preference.
If they arent bothered, then look at what most suits you to get the best marks possible plus interest and ease of study.

Sometimes they keep data on what happens to students and pass rates. Its important you understand what the entry requirements are. i.e how many distinctions and merits.

Thanks for that. I can’t actually find the course from Salford on the Access to he website so that’s put me off already. I’ve emailed them both to the uni anyway 😁
