When people say you look modelly does this mean you're not attractive enough to date Watch

Throughout my life I've had people telling me I have a model look, but most of these people who have said it have never pursued me. Is it basically another way of saying you're not ugly but you have an interesting look that isn't considered conventionally attractive?

I used to take it as a compliment but then when I thought about boys who have that typical model look, they're objectively attractive but not someone most girls would be attracted to (look kinda girly, can't tell if they're gay). And then lots of female models have a slight masculine look.

So basically I'm asking, if you were to call someone modelly, what would be the reason for it, as opposed to calling them beautiful/handsome/pretty.

Well "modelly" apparently means to have the characteristics of a model. It could well be that these people are too shy to ask you out. I don't think saying you look like a model would mean that you're unattractive to date since there are a lot of people who would want to date one, perhaps you're overthinking it.

    Also, I don't even think it's a real word.
