# What would be the best visualisation to compare each variables avg to national avg? watch

1. Hi everyone,

I need to visualise each area in Englands average health score the national average health score. Basically i've not done this since school and I've kinda forgotten what chart would be best for this. Would it be a barchart with the national average a line through the middle perhaps?

Perhaps a choropleth map(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Choropleth_map)? It depends how large your "areas" are. If you only have a few areas, then yeah you could do a bar chart. Averages are typically done as a completely separate bar. So you would have the areas' bars in ascending order of health score, and then smack bang in the middle is an "national average" bar.
