Im really confused...ive heard that predicted grades are the grades you get in AS plus one up.

This year AS has been removed and now teachers are saying our predicted grade will be our test grades over the year averaged out. Im so confused and stressed because at the moment I'm at a E/D as I've had a rough start to A-Levels but i really want to go to ICL/UCL so i need As and A*s...

Do you have a end of year mock? My school is using that mock grade as our predicted grades. My school also does tests throughout the year and says that will be used to see whether or not we are suitable for the subject. Bunch of bullsh*t but as it stands its not that deep. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So stop getting E's and D's. No offence but so many people complaining they are at E and D level but need A and A* and are willing to work for it. No need to post on an internet forum, just get your **** together. Each teacher predicts grades differently some predict two grades up some 1 up some the grade you get in mocks and some base it on how you during the year.

Exactly those words...'used to see whether or not we are suitable for the subject'. But we've had our first few tests and I've gotten Ds/Es/Us so its SO PAINFUL! Im confused now because i know I'm capable of A's and A*s for those end of year mocks but if they're gonna then put me down because of the small test grades its peeeeeetaking. I hope its not that deep...and that its a bunch of ********

Probably won't be that deep for me since my school target grades are BBB. What subject are you looking to take at University? Most 'decent' (not the best - yet decent) universities are fine with BBB. So you should be okay if you aim for the same grades.
