I am currently in the process of applying for psychology at 5 universities in scotland. My first choice is the University Of Strathclyde, the entry requirements are AAAAB (second sitting). In fifth year I got BBBC in my highers. I had a huge amount of time off school due to health problems and this will be mentioned in my reference. My school is also on the list of deprived schools. My predicted grades this year are AAAC (although i am hoping to change the C to atleast B as i disagree with it.) My personal statement in my opinion is good, I have work experience in a care home, I also have a lot of other achievements in music and sport. Just wondering if anyone thinks theres a chance ill be given an offer to university and what the conditions are likely to be?

Im not really well rehashed with how Scotland’s education system works. But as someone who has medical issues and are able to get the grades your predicted shows that even though it effects your life your not, letting it effect your course which is amazing!!

One thing I would do is mention in your application is, how these medical issues haven’t effected your grades and has made you more determined than ever to get where you want to go.

    Hope this helps

Such issues should really be addressed in your reference, not PS.

It's addressed in the sense of why I didn't get the grades I could in my reference, but I have referred to it in my PS because of the nature of my course and I needed to give reason to why I am so interested in psychology, and one of those reasons is having mental health difficulties myself! Thanks though
