Hi I'd like to apply for the job on the link below tomorrow so hoping to finalise my Cover Letter asap. Please could you give me some feedback as soon as you get a chance before I send it off? Thanks ever so much:smile:

It is a marketing role for a football club:

It needs to be much shorter and more structured. A covering letter is 300-350 words total, fitting comfortable on one side of A4.

It begins with an opening statement This is an application for job A as advertised [wherever].

Then 2-3 sentences on why you want to do this sort of work, usually a mix of education and experience.

Then 2-3 sentences on why you want to work for this specific employer. Don't just tell them how wonderful they are, try and make a personal (you love the product) or professional (specific training/working opportunity) connection.

Then, in 3-4 sentences each, highlight your 3 most relevant skills, expanding and drawing together what is on the CV.

Then close confirming you have anything they say is mandatory (if anything)

Make sure it is the same margins/font as the CV so they look like twin documents.
