When I was younger I had quite severe alopecia areata on my hair, but also my eyelashes and brows, which is pretty rare.

Last week I woke up with a clump of my eyelashes missing and my eyebrows forming gaps, but no signs on my head of hair

Does anyone have any advice? This is so distressing for me, it’s crazy how losing a bit of hair can make me so self conscious Has anyone else experienced this condition?

I'm assuming because you already know you had alopecia when you were younger that you got a diagnosis from a doctor. Why not go back to your doctor and say it's happening again? Hopefully they can offer you some sort of help, which I'm assuming they did when you had it previously. Maybe makeup to fill in your brows or using false lashes might help your confidence.

You need to see your gp asap.
There are cosmetic measures for your eyelashes and brows that will make you feel better in the meantime
