    My daughter is currently studying a diploma in ballet away from home and is home sick and would like to transfer to a levels at her local sixth form is it too late to change this year. She previously gained all A s in GSE exams and will have missed all last term and two weeks into this term. Can any one help.

    You would need to contact the schools and see what they say.

    Its getting quite a lot to catch up, but I think you cna offer them additional reasons i,.e a plan to show how you would make things up.

    That would include extra hours and id think some tutoring.

    The thing you have to your advantage is that she is a high class student academically. Speed is of the essence.

    You have to find schools in your area that have space and many of the better ones will not.

    Its not the end of the world to wait till next year and in the meantime she could do things like an EPQ, get work experience etc in order to meet her educational requirements.

    If there are no spaces, then imo wait till next year and sort something else out for this year.
