I am an Indian National. Do I need to complete atleast 5 years of legal education (LLB and then LLM) to come back to India or will just a 3 or 4 year course suffice?

You can do an LLB + LPC or LLB+ LLM.

That would be 3+1 years in the UK.

You need to contact the Indian bar Council to make sure.

Note there may be a chance of having degrees from other unis recognised, but that list only states a few UK unis and excludes many others. You can research that yourself.

The university has to apply, hence it is almost a random list of those that predate the creation of the system and those that can be bothered.

Isn't the policy minimum of 5years in total? I was researching a bit. So doesn't that mean I have to do 4 year llb + llm? Or lpc

And yes I'm aware of which unis are recognized
