Heard a lot of great things about Leeds from the campus to location/facilities environment. I was wondering if there are many opportunities to go on international volunteering trips, work placements abroad / study abroad for a year?
Also is there an opportunity to learn a language?
Thank you - any answers are appreciated.

Most courses offer the chance to do a study abroad, and depending on the department you can do work placements (3 of my friends just came back from a year in Swizterland)
RAG offer loads of opportunities to get involved with fundraising and going on trips abroad (I know last year they went to Uganda)
If you're course allows it, you can do discovery modules in languages there's everything from beginner to advanced levels (even music, maths, history etc.)

Almost every course has a year abroad option that you can apply for in your 2nd year (places allocated based on your grades vs other students applying for that place abroad)

You can do a year in industry or/and summer placements but you have to apply for those yourself so if you can get one abroad then you can do it

a lot of the societies have trips abroad, rag do volunteering both in the UK and abroad

You can take language modules if your specific course allows it (ie you need to have credits available to use as discovery and no clashes with other modules you are taking)
