My teacher is marking our tests and she deducted some marks off some questions that I got the right answer to but didn't show all the working?? For example there was a rationalising the denominator question and I got the right answer but at the start I didnt write x 3-root8/3-root8 because I never do it because it's obvious to me that I have to do it. In the end I got the right answer but I only got 2 out of 3 marks and she said she was being generous by giving me 2. Is it actually like that in the exams? Because this seems ridiculous I barely have time to answer all question and I'm told I have to write in more stuff. Like its understandable if I didnt do any working out but this is stupid. A-level maths is making me dislike maths more and more. So is it actually like this in exams?

You can see what it says on the official markschemes

To give you a contextual answer, please post the question and your exact working.
