Pretty straight forward question really. Just wondered whether anyone knows of incense sticks setting off a smoke alarm because my flatmates stink out the flat to the extent it comes into your room with cooking really strong smelling food and air fresheners don't seem to make a dent. Thought incense sticks might help stop my room and clothes stinking but don't want to set off the smoke alarm because I won't be very popular and will get in trouble from the halls office.

There's a chance it could set the smoke alarm off depending on how much smoke your incense gives off and how sensitive the smoke alarms are. I've never personally had it set off a smoke alarm but there's always a slight risk.

I said that in the post lol I've tried using air freshener but it didn't make much of a difference and if you used too much it got on your throat. Incense is a bit more potent and tends to mask smells better and doesn't make you cough like air freshener does
