Newcastle does a tropical / infectious diseases placement in third year for 4 or 6 weeks.

All of them. Not in great detail, but some tropical medicine will certainly be included.

All medical courses also have an elective placement which you can spend as you see fit. Some med schools offer longer than others.

As above - all courses will have some infectious diseases in the curriculum. If you are interested, make sure you take the opportunity when you are at the teaching hospitals to go with the ID doctors, because not all the hospitals will have this specialty so you'll really need to make the most of your time at the big hospitals.
