My family have recently moved area, and its not great. I can't return to college because they are only enrolling in 2018 September. I cant go back to school because ill be 18 in a few days. I was just starting chemistry, psychology and biology AS but that's all been a waste of a term. So what options do i have until next school year? I don't want to take an apprenticeship, and i am currently trying to look for a job, but in a new city it is hard because i don't know where anything is or what these businesses/shops are. Should i just use this as a gap year and do nothing? This is my 2nd year of college so i will have wasted last year and this year as well... Mess!

    Hi,

I don't know which part of the uk you are in, however most places will be recruiting for Christmas. Use this as an opportunity to get a job and build up your skills and CV. You can also look at voluteering as well if you are not going to be working full time. If you can afford it then perhaps travel. Don't despair See it as an opportunity to do different things. Have you got any interests outside school/college?
    Good luck

Don’t just do nothing, future employers will want to know what the hell you did for a year. Just keep looking for jobs and save up some money!!!
