1. Hi, I'm kind of stuck on a question, any prompts will help, thank you

A line has equation 6x + 2y + 9 = 0

a) Find the gradient of the line.

I got - 3

b) Find where the line crosses the y-axis

I don't understand this one, any help would be greatly appreciated
2. What's the value of X when the line crosses the Y axis

You got the first part correct. For the second, rearrange into y=mx+c form (if you haven't already). Alternatively, when the line crosses the y axis, what is the x-coordinate?

at the y axis, all values of x are 0. So use that fact to work out the y value where the graph crosses the y axis.

HINT: Sub in 0 as the x value and rearrange to get the value of y.
