Worried about GCSES being too low for uni choices watch

    Hi ! I want to apply to geography, at Kings college, Queen Mary’s, Nottingham, Exeter and UCL however i am worried my GCSEs (7bs 3 Cs ) B maths and B English will be too low, my predicted grades will be AAA, do i stand a chance or will my GCSEs hold me back, just need some advice, thanks.

    Just look up the entrance requirements for the course you want and they will state the GCSE policy.

    Other ways to make it stronger are extra currics and an EPQ plus see if you qualify (criteria apply) for an access to course that gets you a lower offer.

    Kings I cant see any besides Maths and English.
    QM

    GCSE
    We normally expect you to have achieved grades A*–C or 9–4 in at least five subjects, including English.


    Nottingham

    FCSE Maths 4

    Exeter
    Cabt see any.

    UCL








    GCSEs








    English Language and Mathematics at grade C or 5. For UK-based students, a grade C or 5 or equivalent in a foreign language (other than Ancient Greek, Biblical Hebrew or Latin) is required.



    So cant see why youd be held back if you have the grades, although ofc some people will have better gcses but thats only a small part.
