    Q.you are required to prepare 25cm3 of 0.100 moldm-3 HCL by diluting 0.600 moldm-3 HCL wih water .calculate the volume of 0.600moldm-3 HCL that must be diluted with water.
    Im so confused on how you go about doing this question

    Hopefully you can see that you need to dilute the HCl from 0.600 moldm-3 to 0.100 moldm-3, and apprecaiate you are diluting by a factor of 6.

    Therefore you require one sixth of your 25cm3 to be from the 0.6mm moldm-3 HCl solution (and top up to 25cm3 with the water).
