Long story short I'm in second year at uni and I've been living in a shared house with 4 other people for the past couple of months. I've stared to get annoyed because they leave a lot of crap in the kitchen. When they cook they drop things like onion skin on the floor and don't clean it up, leave crumbs everywhere, leave dirty dishes in the sink full of water for days so nobody else can wash up, and honestly I'm just really tired of it. I don't want to become that annoying bossy housemate, but I really don't think I should have to even ask people to just clean up if they drop things on the floor or make sure the side isn't covered in sauce if they spill it. I've tried to be cool about it as we're students, but it's getting to the stage where it's really getting me down and making me feel really depressed because the house is in a state and that I end up having to clean up other people's mess. I want to talk to them about it but at the same time don't want to turn into one of those annoying housemates who's bossing people around.

It's understandable you re annoyed, it can unfortunately come with the territory all you can do is calmly talk to them really.
