I'm starting my degree in chemistry next year at UCL and I'm looking to enter the financial sector, however, I don't have A-levels in maths will this be a problem. What kind of work experience should I obtain to help?

It wont be an issue as long as the scheme you are applying for doesnt ask for a maths a-level (which most dont).

You should gain relevant summer internships in the area of finance you want to go into (ie if you want to do IB then apply for IB summer internships)
