my english literature exam is on january 8th 2018 and i was wondering when i should start revising for it? i don’t want to start revising too early for it as i worry i may burn out. english literature is the only exam i am doing in january and i have already done the poetry component as coursework.

    thank-you.

I would start revising now, maybe 2 hours a day and more on the weekends, then building it up through November. Make sure to do lots of past papers, planning questions is a great way to revise. Also watch Mr Bruff on youtube, he is very helpful!

also, i am out of school at the moment so would be able to do more than two hours a day. will that impact the period of time i should be revising for? i could do up to 8 hours a day if i wished

I would only ease into it, you don't want to burn yourself out. There is no harm in starting early to make sure you cover all the content and to make sure you perfect your exam technique so you can crush the exam!

starting now would be reasonable. Don't burn yourself out by revising literally all day, though.
