So in September I applied for a sixth form college in my town and have just been offered an interview. I don't know what to wear because I'm a 16-year-old girl and have never had to go to an interview before. The school's website doesn't have a specific dress code and the interview email has no suggestions for what to wear.

Does anyone have any ideas? How smart should I dress or should I dress casually?

My advice would be smart-casual. Find a nice skirt, some tights, or some black dress-pants, and a nice pair of shoes, maybe some brogues or some flats, and wear a reasonably nice top and either a blazer or a smart-ish cardigan or jacket. That way you won't feel too overdressed but you will look presentable and the sixth form will appreciate and take note even if there isn't a dress code. It just makes a good impression. You don't want to go OTT but smart casual is always a good call.

I've been to two sixth form/college interviews. In the first I wore my school uniform because it was right after school, and the second I just dressed casually. They won't expect you to come in business casual clothing, just make sure you don't have anything innapropriate on.
