    Assalam alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

My mother and father had an argument and she told him to leave the home and to stay away for a few days but he was crying, like seriously crying his eyes out and he said to her that he worships her and the ground she walks on.

Did he commit shirk by saying that? Should I tell him because I don't think he realised or he said it just as a figure of speech but still I think it counts as shirk?

bro you should post this on ISOC - the muslim community there will be able to answer your question easier.

What’s wrong with being so in love with his wife?
    That’s admirable
That doesn’t mean he loves her more than or regards her more highly than his God. I think maybe you shouldn’t put yourself in a position of judgement It’s not a humans place to pass judgement on another human Only God gets to do that
Parents argue. That’s life. Be grateful that they love each other so much and are totally committed.
It’s probably better that you stay out of it

    Walalaykums- Salaam Warhamatullahi Wabarakatuh,

According to Usool, yes your father has commited shirk and he will have to pay the price for it. In this case, he would need to repent sincerly and be very careful not to return to the sin again. Please consult a Mufti or Imam who will explain further InshaAllah.

    Allah Knows Best.
