I am trying to finalize my UCAS choices and thinking of the Architecture course at Loughborough. It is a newly introduced course that just started this year so it is not yet accredited by RIBA. The uni is of course great but I am wondering if it is safe to apply for this new course without sufficient feedback from former or current students.

I am also thinking of BA at Manchester but their requirements are higher (AAA) while it isn’t AAB at Loughborough. I also understand that a BArch introduces more science ain to the course than a BA does.

Any help that you may offer is great.

if its not accredited, dont waste your time. you cant go down the architecture route without a RIBA accredited degree.

    Hi Miroyoyo

RIBA don't grant accreditation until the first cohort of students have graduated - that's standard procedure.
However the course is structured to meet the criteria for accreditation.
Only you can decide if you would be more comfortable doing a course that already has that accreditation in place.

    Good luck with your decision
