Do you feel sky tv is a necessity? I personally don't watch TV alot and I'm considering whether I should get it as I'm planning on renting out a room. Would a smart tv that has Amazon/Roku do?

Depends whether its a luxury rent. I would say almost certainly not and people might be annoyed at paying for it.

What is essential though is very fast broadband. It will be a big plus if its already sorted out.
