    Hi,

so basically I started my second year at uni back in September after being very really apprehensive about it and I now realise just how miserable I am here and how much living here is affecting my mental and physical health (I'll spare you the details).

    SO

I want to drop out and reapply to a uni much closer to home and where I'll be much better off come September.

I accept I'm going to have to pay part of this year's tuition fees which I'm fine with, however I'm in a one year binding contract on the house that I'm renting and was wondering if SFE will still fund my maintenance loans which help cover this or as soon as I'm withdrawn will they cease. Like is there no special circumstances when it comes to health issues and being able to pay back these housing payments. I won't even be living there but I can't not pay it and I also can't afford to pay it without the funding. It's about 2600 I still have to pay which even currently working I can't afford but I just know I can't be here any longer.

any advice or relevant experiences that could help?

    thanks

thank you for replying, I have no idea how I'm going to afford to do this then. I can't bring myself to stay here another 8-9 months but without assistance I don't know how to afford the house if I leave.
