    What is Shelley's overall message in the novel FRANKENSTEIN?

    you could argue that she criticises the advancement of technology and deviation from religion, because that’s what allows the bad stuff to happen in the end. Oh and the human desire for knowledge (Adam and Eve).

    oh okay...that's good argument. Could i talk about how shelley's point of view could be that boundaries are there for a reason, transgressing them always leads to downfall...ie. victor frankenstein was driven by the promethean impulse and transgressed, creating life in an unnatural way, later leading to his downfall.

    Yeah that’s true. So in a way she kind of criticises societal order of things by saying that anyone who does transgress it (aka Victor) ends up dead lol
