I want to do a psychology degree and do a masters or a postgraduate diploma in attempt to get a job with in mental health like a cognitive behavioural therapist. But I'm hearing that in the UK we have poor job prospects for psychology degrees due to it being seen as a general degree. The question is, am I better off going abroad with these qualifications in the future to the likes of Canada or anywhere else or is it fairly possible to obtain a good career in what I want to do over here?

There will be jobs, they'll just be very competitive and have a lot of applicants. I wouldn't let that put you off completely, someone's going to get the job so why can't it be you? Perhaps do your best to get some decent work experience in the field so you can work towards making a really strong application

Okay that's a fair point tbh, but do you think that it is easier to get jobs of that nature abroad than in the UK?
