    Anyone who went can give insight on how it affected you choosing your uni ? thanks
    they clash with a lot of my lessons, i rather go to lessons and not catch up tbh. but if it's a fun, good opportunity for whatever then i can give up some time to go too uno

    It is up to you. Although most would have visited the department and university on Open days before applying, others will visit for the first time. It's really suppose to be for your benefit.

    That said, some courses that don't necessarily hold 'interviews' do actually like to use these days to interview. My sister actually got letters after she attended some, one saying that they were so impressed by her, they were willing to lower the grade requirement. (AAA to AAB, without those "unconditional if firmed" clauses) and another that gave her an unconditional if firmed clause.

    ooo interesting...i have visited some uni department on open day. southampton said it would be to get to know me better but not an informal interview, i'll have to think about that cos it means i might have to go back on my personal statement if im going to join in discussions with them.
