# Conceptual question watch

1. Hi I am kinda lost about the question, I think it's a really easy question but I'm just lost. Can anyone explain it to me please?
2. This is an variation of what is called a 'monkey and hunter' problem - the electronic bucket release is replaced by a monkey hanging from a branch which releases its grip (with no reaction delay) when it sees the flash from a hunters rifle.

There's an explanation on wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Monkey_and_the_Hunter

note the pea will miss the bucket if the bucket hits the ground before the pea has covered the required horizontal distance - which is a possibility in the setup shown in the diagram you posted - the pea and bucket need to be able to fall forever to ensure the pea will always hit the bucket when the pea is fired with low velocity.
