How old should examples be when answering in an interview as I am a part time student working in retail with 3 yrs experience but want another retail job where pay is higher. When I apply for jobs in September can I still give examples and references to skills that I have learnt in this role that I currently in before moving to another part time job?

How old should examples be when answering in an interview e.g. I am thinking of switching jobs as a part time student but have learnt lots of skills in my present role and wanted to know if it is valid to talk about these skills/job in interviews provided its recent?
That sounds recent enough if it's your current role!
