Parliament are running a new student leader training program.

Their first one ran earlier this year, and was super popular. If you're interested in politics, or are keen on campaigning for something you care about, this is an awesome place to start. Parliament are super keen to equip you with a bit more insight into how to get involved in politics.

Some more info below:

What will I learn?

The one day course aims to help students who are passionate about issues to understand how they may be able to campaign and influence Parliament:
  • Brief introduction to the UK Parliament
  • Legislative Process: How to follow and engage with law making processes
  • Petitions and Parliament: How to start and sign a UK Parliament petition.
  • Committees and Scrutiny: How to follow and engage with Select Committees
  • The People of Parliament: the role of MPs, Peers and House staff
  • Take Action: How to get your campaign to the UK Parliament

Attending this session will be useful for student officers, activists and community organisers to plan more effective campaigns. You'll get a more-in-depth understanding of the UK Parliament's work and its effect on people's lives.

You can find more info here and apply here.

This is a good question! I'm actually not sure, but there's a contact email and phone number on the site. They should be able to let you know.

In the meantime, I'll also get in contact with them to confirm so I can update that information here.
