i have arthritis, would playing the guitar be a nightmare for me? watch

hey, so just recently I've been really wanting to play the guitar and my sister has helped me in finding a teacher. however, I live with arthritis and my mum recently raised the topic that this may be extremely difficult and painful to play with my fingers already being quite the nuisance when it comes to small things and holding them in the same position for a long time. does anyone in the same position as me have any advice?

You could still learn how to play guitar even though you have arthritis, you will just have to pace yourself a bit more and keep an eye on how your joints react to the movements. Exercise is really good for arthritis and this would be exercise for your finger joints - just remember to take it easy and don't push yourself.

Maybe ask your guitar teacher or do some research before playing guitar long term

Did you get less than your required grades and still get into university?
