Even though I've been regularly complimented for my ostensible intelligent, still on a daily basis I am left feeling remarkable incompetent. I've even had instances wherein someone would tell me "you're the smartest guy I've ever met." It's almost as if there is something profoundly wrong with my psyche. I feel that I am ill-equipped to deal with life's mundanities and am only capable of dealing with high-level abstractions.
