    I’m a year 11 student and was wondering if I could take History as one of my a level subjects in college as I want to take the midwifery at university

    My advice would be to go onto UCAS and search for midwifery courses at university and look at the subjects they ask for so you know for sure. Usually they want at least biology but it will depend on the uni. Some may want more than one science.

    You have to have biology at a-level to do midwifery at university and then it is useful to have other sciences or sociology/psychology. You would be able to do history as long as you take biology as well. It also depends which university you want to go to, as some may require different a-levels than others!

    UCAS is the best place to look. Use the search tool, then look at specific universities and see what they want. Also what uni? Is a good website to look on. But I would recommend studying Biology and Psychology. Good luck

    You can! As said above, Biology is what they look out for. Psychology helps as well. History as a third is perfectly acceptable!
