I do chemistry economics and geography but kind of want to swap to chemistry maths and physics. I’m thinking I want to do physics at uni now

Are you first or second year?

Considering you're swapping two A levels, I don't know if you could do that. Swapping one is possible at this stage, but a lot harder, I swapped from French to English Literature at the beginning of January, four months into first year, and it hasn't massively disadvantaged me but I have had to take on extra lessons and do a lot of extra work towards it to catch up.

If you're first year, consider seeing the year out and deciding then, you can change and restart first year if you need to then, too, and just do a third year. I wouldn't change two subjects now. You don't need maths for every science based degree, though, so I would research that, although I know it may be different for specifically Physics degrees. My boyfriend got offered AAB for Chemistry at York with just the three sciences

    Hope that helps!

1st year but I was doing maths until a few weeks ago anyway so won’t have much to catch up. Physics is actually something I find interesting and often come across interesting videos on YT and that. I only recently started geography and haven’t caught up yet. I’m not sure and what they will think because I want to go back to maths and I feel bad dropping geog after asking to join. I think it might be too late and I can’t go back a year because I’m in my secondary school sixth form

I guess then all you can do is ask. Even if they say no, you could look into moving sixth forms for next year and starting afresh as a first year again. A lot of sixth forms, independent colleges and high school sixth forms alike, do allow students to do a third year, so you could also ask about that if you needed to
