# Coordinate geometry watch

1. There’s a question and I don’t really know what it’s asking: find the coordinates of the points at which each straight line crosses the coordinate axes.
2. If you are given a formula for the graph then you can substitute in appropriate values into the formula.

For example for the graph: y = x-2:

At the x-axis, y=0, therefore: 0 = x-2, therefore x = 2, (so we have (2,0).

At the y-axis, x = 0. Therefore: y = 0-2, therefore y = -2, (so we have 0,-2).

Does this help?
3. So is it just that that it’s asking?
4. Yes, the question asks where does the graph cross the x-axis and y-axis.
