    I am thinking of applying to actuarial science courses but not sure if it's worth it. I know it's well paid but I've also heard that many people drop out because it's too difficult. Is it's very repetitive and do you have to sacrifice your social life to study during the week

    If you like maths and statistics then you should enjoy it enough to be motivated to study and do well. Actuarial science is basically maths and statistics with a focus on insurance.

    Depends where you work I would say. A huge plus is studying it at uni to get as many exemptions as possible. It's definitely worth it.

    They are well paid, that's why I was thinking about being one. No clue what the actual job is like though. I don't have a passion for anything so I'm just going for the salary.
