I have multiple boyfriends and girlfriends Watch

    So it occurred to me that this title means something completely different when i'm all grown up.

    When you're just a kid it just means you have friends which happen to be girls and boys which of course now at the ripe ol age of 18 you have to state or people think of something different to what you're trying to convey.

    Interesting thoughts.

    Just leave out the word boy* or girl* and introduce them as a friend.

    There is no Freudian connotation.

    When I was a kid, the words girlfriend and boyfriend still had romantic connotations. If you said as a lad 'I have multiple boyfriends' round here at age ten, you'd still have been terrored by other kids.
