Hi, I have also got an offer for the same course but can I please ask how are you going to study an LLB after completing this degree? If you are referring to this course and have applied for deferred entry, it is not a joint degree. Although it is a qualifying law degree, it's not technically an LLB as the course entails Philosophy and Law.

I didn’t mean to say I’m going for an LLB, i meant to say i want to study a QLD and then a masters! I am not going for deferred entry, i look forward to meeting you at Kent!

I believe you will need to take another year or 2 to get a QLD, which is what firms require as a minimum, anything else would be a bonus

This is from the law school's note on the QLD:

A QLD includes study of the seven Foundations of Legal Knowledge; Contract, Tort, Criminal Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Property Law, Equity and Trusts, and the Law of the European Union. These seven Foundations are the key areas of law and principles which provide students with a sound body of knowledge from which to study other specialist areas of law and which allow them to progress in their professional training.

Once you complete the Politics and Law BA, by default you'll be awarded a QLD. This means your degree will allow you to apply directly to law firms and chambers without having to do a Graduate Diploma in Law.

I should mention that I'm a final year LL.B student at Kent so if any of you have any questions about anything at all, please do DM me!
