Suffering in silence (bullying experience) watch

I’m now 16 but over the last 10 years I’ve experienced bullying on an irregular but frequent basis i.e. some days nothing happened and others I was made fun of and insulted (both publicly / personally, as well as online / offline) so much I had to hide from others outside of lessons. I’m not even sure if the bullies themselves knew what they were doing to me. I never reported it to anyone and to this day not even my parents know what happened.

It stopped happening about a year ago, but mostly because the bullies either, matured, left the school, or just stopped seeing me around as often. I haven’t had any real friends since way before I started being bullied and still don’t.

Looking back on what happened, was my decision to resign myself to what was going on and endure it the right one?

Unfortunately no, by doing so you have caused them to develop a sense of superiority over you.
In other words, they see you as a target for them to pick on.
This may have also had an affect on how you interact with people, hence why you say you still don’t have friends.
As for having no friends, have you tried talking to classmates and tried to get close to them?
Maybe you guys may share something in common.
