You don't need a scraper. Just make a Google Form, we'll fill it in, and you'll get a comprehensive spreadsheet.

I thought about that, but this way I can check against the username to validate the data comes from the right person. It also allows me to do more with the data. Plus the webscrapper took 10 min to build and I enjoyed it.

Fair enough. :yy:

***Life_peer - Conservative and Unionist Party
mp=yes eco=4 soc=4!!!

I have to say that I don't like this test though. Although it's an MHoC classic, I believe the results are quite inaccurate and much prefer Spekr.

Here's my result if anyone's interested. I think it's more valid.

It won't get picked up if it's not in the correct format mind. I intend to get this to automatically update rather than doing it manually.

It needs to be exactly the right formatting to be picked up. The *'S and !'s need to be there and it needs the correct spacing. It won't pick it up from me (otherwise we could all fake each other's results and quotes would mess it up, but here is what you should post:

***CountBrandenburg - Libertarian
mp=No eco=3.4 soc=-3.5!!!

To a computer "name- party" is completely different to "name - party" and "MP" is not the same as "mp".

Just did the test myself. I was 0.25 out on my guess for my economic standpoint and 0.28 out for my social one. Gone are the days when I used to get -8 and -9 on the economic scale. I also think that I'm more central than the -3.25 that the test puts me on that scale, and probably more liberal than the -5.28 I got.

I thought it might be interesting for us all (or as many as possible) to do the PC test and share our results. If people put it in the format I talk about below my scrapper will go along and get all the results together which will allow us to look at each party individually or to look at just MPs. I used to do this reports manually so being able to pull all the data into nice graphs easily should make for some interesting reports without so much manual work from me.

Before it gets mentioned, I know that there are problems with the PC test. This is just for fun and should not be considered a foolproof way of determining where you sit politically.

The test itself can be taken here and the way I would like the results formatted is like this:

***USERNAME - PARTY
mp=YES/NO eco=ECOSCORE soc=SOCSCORE!!!

ie for me;

***DayneD89 - Liberal Party
mp=yes eco=-3.25 soc=-5.28!!!

Please ensure when posting results that those two lines are on their own and the only bits you change are your username, party and the 3 values at the bottom (are you an MP, your economic score and your social score) as the tags are for my program to find your answers easier.
A lot of people did one earlier in the term but Aph did not seemingly perform his usual analysis.
