Scraping my way into (maybe) Cambridge!! A blog by questionofrust

Hi to anyone who may be reading this, I am currently doing A-levels (first year) and am doing maths, chemistry, and biology. I am looking to study natural sciences at Cambridge (it's the first choice), if that doesn't happen, I'd either do zoology or chemistry (why do I want to study either really big things or really little things?) at either Exeter, Warwick, Imperial or UCL. I play trumpet in a jazz orchestra where I live and am working up to my grade seven. I also am about to start DofE silver, hopefully.

Here's what I got at GCSE:
- Maths-9
- English Lang-9
- English Lit-7
- Biology-A
- Chemistry-A
- Physics-A
- Music-A
- French- A*
- Geography-B
- RE-B
- ICT-C (it was my sacrificial one lmao)

I understand my grades are on the lower end of the spectrum to study science at Cambridge, but I hope to work my actual a** off and hopefully do really well at all other aspects of the application.

My AS target grades:
- Maths-A
- Biology-A
- Chemistry- A

My school isn't doing AS levels, so these are my target grades for year twelve.

Let's pray this blogging malarkey will stop me from procrastinating and hopefully achieve something! I will either be updating how much work I do each day in this thread if I remember or maybe doing a weekly update? I'm not sure yet, who knows what will happen?

If you read all that, then thanks, and let's scrape through together!!
