I am doing A level Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Computee Science and Italian. Currently in year 12, my 6th form requires us to do 1 at AS level. I am thinking of doing AS physics as I find it quite hard and it's not really needed for what I want to do in uni. I want to go to Imperial to study Computer Science Meng. Do you think it's a good choice by dropping physics? I don't want to drop any of the other 4 as I really enjoy them.

I think it lks tight, but the only ones they mention are Maths and Further Maths. If you are going to find the other 4 easy and will get the grades then do those. You have CS to take the place of Physics anyway so you dont really need it. You can always contact them to make sure, but I would drop physics if its your weakest.

I’ve you’ve committed to those 5 subjects for now - Sit the AS exams for as many as you can. Then, once you’ve got your results, you’ll be able to make a decision.

Edit - Ahh. You mean you want to drop physics before getting a qualification in it? That’s also fine. If you don’t need physics for your chosen degree, and you dislike it, you’ve got 4 other strong A-Level so that’s fine too!

Basically I will be doing Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science and Italian at A2, whereas physics only at AS level. So next year no more physics.
