I don't understand why people aren't flocking to help you

Why does any business have profit as an objective? One reason is even explained in the article for you - they want to make money for the shareholders. The more profit they can make, the more dividends they can pay to shareholders. And that makes shareholders happy.
For the other reason, you might want to think of why they don't have other objectives. Why might they not want to focus on sales as their objective?
You've already explained what stakeholders are in part a. Now you need to think of 2 examples of stakeholders, and think about how opening a new mine will affect them. Obviously the new mine will cost a lot to build - how is that going to affect the shareholders? Will they get a large share of profits in the short run? What about the long run?
