there was some reasoning for this which made absolutely no sense. ill try find it but it was ridiculous. they had new zeland and other countries but decided to go as far from Aus as possible

Just realised I hadn't done the answers for this, so sorry about that folks, here we are...


1. Red, Black, Yellow, Green and Blue are the colours of the five olympic rings.

2. Greece is the first country to enter the flag parade during the opening ceremony. This is due to Greece being the country of the ancient Olympics.:yep:

3. The first city to host the Modern Olympics twice was actually Paris.

4. Badminton was first introduced in 1992 at the Barcelona games.:smile:

5. Tokyo was due to host the 1940 games which were cancelled.:frown:

6. The first games to be televised were the Berlin games of 1936. Year not necessary for the point.

7. India were Olympic hockey champions from 1928 until 1960.:awesome:

8. Figure Skater Michael Shmerkin was the one Israeli athlete at the 1994 Winter Olympics.

9. Cross country skiing and shooting are the two events featured in the biathlon.

10. And the horse riding events for the Melbourne Games were held in Stockholm.:biggrin:
