    My name is Chloe,
I am technically still in college but am leaving soon.
    I'm from London.
Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. I also want to do Sociology, Physics and Maths.
Less than I would like to be honest, mainly because I am extremely exhausted after a long day of school!
All As in my A Levels, at least. I refuse to settle for anything less.
I am in my first year of college but wish to attend Oxford or Cambridge, slightly leaning to Cambridge.
    Good luck!

    Nice thread idea!

I'm Sonya and I'm doing 4 A-levels at school (maths, Eng. lit., French and Latin) but self-teaching further maths. I don't really have a set number of hours of study per week, though I probably will nearer to exam time; I just do as much as I can and it's working fairly well since I like maths enough to be somewhat motivated. I'd like an A at least, and my dream uni is Cambridge

Well I study maths, further maths and computer science

I would like to do Computer science.

My first option was Oxford for Computer science and philosophy. Unfortunately I don't have many GCSE (maths and english lol). I know that oxford is focusing a lot on GCSE and probably I would fail pre-interview.
At least I would try at Cambrige :badger: (especially because they have 4 mature colleges)

Nice compsci and philosophy is such a cool course! I want to do computational linguistics eventually so our areas are quite linked. Is there a particular reason why you only have 2 GCSEs? Oxford should probably understand if so (but Cambridge is better anyway ).

I came in the uk when I was 16 (I am from eastern Europe). Most people start their A levels at 16 so I came a little bit too late. I could do 10 gcse but i don't want to pay like £800-1000 for some gcse. (I would not spend this amount of money even if it's oxford or not).

Maybe I will send an email to a college from oxford to explain to them.

Which other universities you want to apply or any other courses you may think to apply?

    Hi,

I’m from England, currently self teaching full time. 3 A-Levels set to take exams in 2019.

I’m studying English Literature, Law and Business.

I dedicate 11 hours per subject per week so 33 hours in total to my studies.

I haven’t thought about which university yet.

Sorry if this rude but how did you get into college with two GCSEs? And what grades did you get in those GCSEs?

It's simply not true that Oxford focuses a lot on GCSEs. We have no GCSE requirements. For Computer Science (with or without Philosophy), by far the most important selection criteria are the MAT and interviews. A large proportion of our candidates have not studied GCSEs (as they've studied abroad), and many of them are successful.
