I'm doing GSCE Geography at the moment. I'm not sure if I should switch to History.

I did both (old course though) and loved both of them, if you're already doing geography try and stick with it but if you really hate it history is superr interesting too. just trust your gut

History is definitely a lot easier (at least it was for me) - all I needed was to remember some facts from the textbook, and refer to the reliability and usefulness of the source. Don't know how they changed it with the reformed GCSEs, but I definitely found History more manageable. Of course, everyone is different - you may find you much prefer Geography.

Also, do note that you should consider which subjects you'd like to study at A level. The A levels in them don't require the GCSE at most colleges, but obviously the GCSE will help (practically all of the facts in one component of AS History came from my GCSE knowledge - the essays are a lot harder at A level though).

I am not doing geography but my classmates have a lot to remember and they always complain I'm doing history and it is tricky to know exactly how to answer the essay questions, but I would rather stick to history instead of geography.

I would chose Geography as it is more understanding and logical, even though it may be hard to get your head around some topics but eventually you can understand it. As history is just facts and no logic, its all remembering and it can get very tedious.
