*hangs your coat back up* Sit down and have a biscuit.

There's a reason it's less competitive, though. English is, er, better.

Um, not sure... depends on grades, I guess. Thought about a few places. Vaguely thought about going abroad. I'm definitely going a long way north, though -- assuming I stay here. Wouldn't go anywhere in the South East, really. Would only go for Exeter in the south or... I suppose Oxbridge if I got lots of As at AS and fluked an interview. I just want to... get away.

I'd like to go to St Andrew's, Edinburgh, Warwick (has a creative writing course. Hmmm...), Durham... a few others. But I'll probably end up somewhere ****.

*huggles* for being silly
*sits down*

er english is not better
politics > english

you say you don't want to go too far north then you suggest st andrews :p:

durham ftw :love:

Yeah, she always tries to get me to apply to the U.S. But it is usually pricey, and it sounds ****. Taking classes and such. They force you to take a gazillion different subjects at first. Imagine having to do maths again! And PE! And... well... **** OFF, indeed. I want specialist tuition, thank you.

Plus she wants us to apply to Reed so that she can feel good if we don't get in.
We'd never ever get in. Also, living in America FTL. We'd only know Rachel, and we'd have to hang about with Schrundberg and people. They sound like the oddlings who hide in the corner and make loud Dungeons and Dragons related insults.

Hm. I enjoy Pol more at school but that's just because I hate only getting to study one novel in a whole bloody year in English. Uni is... lots of books. Pol can be mechanical.

Nah, I said I *did* want to go north, I think. *checks* Yeap.

Yeah, Durham sounds pretty. But it has rather low admission ratios, and we only get 5 pops.

*huggles* for being a pol-lover

Bergenschrund? *is so closer* I dunno; they're all at MIT and Stanford, I think. We'd get to hand with FH and Fil, though. Schiz. Maybe pop over to Canada for Gus and Nord. (Meh.)

As long as we could avoid Nathaniel. Did I tell you that the famous Aimee emailed me the other day about Rachel?

Bergschrund. I win. :p: Hmm, are they? Good good. Still, she'll probably meet more of the same people at Reed and then we will by default. And you'd be coming a year later, so I'd actually die.
I doubt Brighty would meet us. :sad: Her parents would be going through a mental when we were in the area. I've never talked to FH. :s: Lulu would be fecking awesome though. She's the ****ing epitome of internet coolness. Seriously. She's registered on here, actually. She was around before me. Aaaand, I don't think Gus would want to see me. They all REALLY hate me now.

Yeah, that **** can rot. No, no, you did not! Tell tell.

But good for your taste-buds, which is more important. Obviously.

This is true, this is true. But I bet I can find an Eng course with a year in the U.S.

I may do, I may do -- if I get 3As out of 4 at AS. (No way am I getting an A in history; the others are all reasonably possible.) Is it as collegial as Oxbridge?

There is a chance. There will be students who have received AAAa. But it all depends on what subjects ;yes;

Nah, scores based on first answer. I was nearer.

Not all her friends are that smart. Aimee isn't. Some, I suspect, aren't prats. :P

Fil would, I reckon. She'll be out of her parents hair by then.

FH is made of love.

Schiz is awesomely cool. I talked to her last week for an hour and a bit. We had epic lolz. She's applying to mostly east coast unis, though... She is? What's the username? How come she ended up on a British site?

They do? Was this when we weren't talking, and you were pretending to be a jew on AFC?

I'll forward it.

Pfft. Fine.

Hmm, alright, Aimee isn't but it's not the smartness I'm worried about. They makes jokes about carbon, FFS. It's the geekery.

I dunno. She has to go to uni in her own state, and live at home. :s: I think it'll always be tough for her.

She's Schizy on here, and googled Artemis Fowl, and came across the first incarnation of this thread.

Yeah, that was it.

*dances*

Yeah, I know. It would be an issue. It pisses me off when Rachel thinks they're so cool for making said jokes. And tells us. Remember, "At this point, he was missing robotics." ZOMGZ!

Yeah, and I'm guessing a mormon uni or something. She wants to go into "hospitality". Urgh.

Ooh, how WEIRD. Creepy.

What happened, then?

obviously

english smells ;yucky;

apply anyway :hmmm: politics offer is only AAB anyway, so if you get AABB you can drop an AS and be predicted AAB/AAA :angel:

i think it is as collegial but i'm not sure. tbh, i love the look of it

*watches*

OH NOES not Robotics. Or the sheer lolmongery that happened on the flight to SciOly! I always ask her to explain the jokes, just to highlight that I'm stupid in comparison and she'd best not forget it. Then she says things like, 'I love you even though you're not clever.' ;dry;

I assume so. Poor thing. I sometimes want to go and extract her from her life and bring her here even more than I want Rachel here.

I'll tell you on MSN.

yay, msn ftw.

BOOKS ARE PRETTY, THOUGH

Yeah, maybe, but most applying will have AAA/a anyway, tbh. I could also pick up my AS RS which I did with mah GCSEs. Currently that's festering at 247/300 -- 3 marks off an A, but with no work and done early, so I could get that predicted as an A easy.

And it's nice and cold!

Leicester probably wouldn't let me in. And De Montford don't do Philosophy.
